What services does MHSN offer?
MHSN offers a basket of services for Consumer/Survivors which include Peer Support, a warm line, safe environments, lunch programs, etc.
What is Peer Support?
People who experience similar life challenges come together to share their experiences, listen to others, and learn, grow, heal...ETC.
Peer Support is mutual support between two individuals or groups that provides opportunities for growth to both the Peer Supporter and the recipient of Peer Support. Often Peers are able to not only provide Support to each other, but they are able to provide skills and experiences to each other that can improve quality of life by enhancing or developing existing or new skill sets.
Peer Support is not exclusive to the Mental Health System. Systems of Peer Support may be found in many areas both inside and outside of Health Care. This includes Cancer Support Groups, (i.e.: Gilda’s Place and Prostate Cancer Support Groups), Diabetes Support Groups, Bereavement Support Groups for parents and family members, Support Groups for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Support
Do I have to disclose my diagnosis?
No. It is the discretion of the participant as to whether they disclose their diagnosis or not. We do not hold files on any participants. You are welcome to come and go as you wish as long as you follow our agency and site policies and procedures.
What activities are offered at the Program Sites?
Each site distinguishes their priorities regarding activities. Some activities which are organized by the participants include: Bowling, Birthdays, Euchre Parties, Picnics, Day Trips to the Beach, Movie days etc.
What are the Hours of Operation?
Each site has its own hours of operation.

Is there a membership?
There is no membership to use the programs. Every one who experiences a mental illness is welcome.
